Strengthened in secret places.

You've probably never heard of Engedi.

Engedi sits in the Judean desert, on the western shore of the Dead Sea. It shouldn't exist. Surrounded by barren wilderness, it's an oasis: waterfalls, fruit trees, green life breaking through the rock. It's where David hid when Saul hunted him. A place of refuge.

That's the picture. Spiritually, we live in the same desert. Dry, desolate, dying of thirst. But we have Jesus. He's our oasis. Streams of living water flowing out of us in a wasteland that has none.

A secret place to be forged, strengthened, refreshed.
